The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children and their families with life limiting conditions. All of they children they help have conditions which will significantly shorten their lives. The charity offers support through their at home hospice care, but construction has been completed on a new, purpose built hospice. The hospice is a place where the children can be children – they can play, communicate and have new experiences, whilst the family can have a respite break from the continuous care they are providing.
There is no charge for the service the charity provides to the families and less than 4% of their funding comes from government sources. The care and accommodation they provide is, therefore, almost entirely financed by fund-raising efforts.
